Dancing is not only for adults. There are numerous benefits to kids and youth in dancing. At Cleveland Salsa Passion, we have teamed up with Dance With Me Ballroom staff to teach kids and youth to teach social ballroom and Latin dances ("Young Social Dancer" program). Also through "Young Dancng Stars" program, kids and youth can be involved in Dancesport and compete regionally or nationally. We offer private lessons, group classes, and competition training designed for kids and youth. Students of all ages and abilities will benefit from our fun & educational programs.
Young Social Dancer Program
Build your child’s coordination, confidence, and social skills through dance! Our "Young Social Dancer" program is open to boys and girls ages 6-12. Enrollment is for 4 weeks and classes are Saturdays 10:00 to 11:00 am. New students may join the class at the beginning of each month.
Each month we focus on two dances of choice ballroom and social dancin genre. For exmaple, waltz, tango, rumba, cha cha, mambo, swing, and salsa. Students will learn the basic figures of each dance. In terms of social skills, Students will learn the etiquettes and manners of how to present themselves with grace and elegance. In terms of dancng abilities, studnts will learn the basics of leading and following, develop their coordination, agility and musicality. By the end of the course they’ll feel comfortable dancing to a variety of music and will be ready to show off their new moves!
Advance registration is required. Simply enroll online and join us for the first class of the month. We look forward to having your child join our fun and educational dance program!

Ballroom Dance Shoes:
Ballroom dance shoes are recommended, but not required, for Ballroom Twinkle Stars. If your child doesn’t have ballroom shoes, we recommend comfortable shoes with a leather sole. To ensure shoes stay in place while dancing, we recommend shoes that lace-up or have an ankle strap. Flip flops and sneakers with rubber treads are not recommended. Once you complete 2 months of classes, we ask that you invest in ballroom dance shoes for you child; they really do make a difference, even for beginning dancers. Ballroom dance shoes have flexible suede soles that make it easier to dance properly and they protect their partner while dancing.
